Seven wheat (Triticum durum) varieties were evaluated at four nitrogen levels( 0 N, 80kg/Ha,120kg/Ha and 160kg/Ha ). MANCOVA analysis was used to test the effects of different nitrogen levels simultaneously on grain yield, stalk yield and harvest index. A multivariate analysis of covariance was used to test the effect of the two factors (four levels of fertilizers and seven levels of cultivars) on the responses and the interactions. The results revealed a significant correlation between the covariates(days to maturity and seed weight) and dependent variables (DV): grain yield, stalk yield and harvest index. The interaction between fertilizers and varieties was not significant for grain yield and harvest index while it is significant for stalk yield. Variety Cham-1 was the best for grain yield, stalk yield and harvest index. Fertilization showed highly significant effect on the three different varieties with 160kg/Ha as the best resulting in higher grain yield (3.595 kg/Ha), stalk yield (12.70kg/Ha) and harvest index (36.36 %).
