摘要

The main objective of this paper is to see the possible impact of blood viscosity on blood flow in artery through a mathematical model. Several studied have been done to explore the possible effect of blood viscosity on blood flow experimentally. To achieve the goal, primary data raised by the school of Biomedical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Bombay for hypertension patients has been analyzed to see the possible effect of viscosity factor on the blood flow using Poiseuille model. The expression for velocity field has been derived and the hydrodynamic resistance to flow (HDRF) of blood has been calculated for controlled and uncontrolled hypertension patients.
