A Digital Mean Wind Speed Indicator with Numerical Display

The paper describes a remote indicating, transistorized digital mean wind speed indicator designed primarily for use at airports. The instrument has a range of measurement of mean wind speed from 0 to 99 knots with an accuracy of 1 knot. An averaging period of 2 minutes has been used in the present design but other averaging periods also are possible with a little modification.
