The improved version of the widehyphen;temperaturehyphen;range, fasthyphen;flow reactor with ESR detection employed at this laboratory for a series of atomndash;molecule rate measurements has been used to reinvestigate the reactions Oplus;H2Dgr;OHplus;H 1 and Oplus;CHDgr;OHplus;CH33 which had been previously measured with the original apparatus. The new data are uniformly lower than before, implying a systematic error in the old results. The revised Arrhenius expressions arek1thinsp;equals;thinsp;3.2thinsp;times;thinsp;1013explpar;minus;thinsp;10 200thinsp;sol;thinsp;RTrpar;cm3moleminus;1middot;secminus;1valid in the range 500deg;ndash;900deg;K, andk3thinsp;equals;thinsp;2.0thinsp;times;thinsp;1013explpar;minus;thinsp;9200thinsp;sol;thinsp;RTrpar;over 400deg;ndash;900deg;K. The new results are in better agreement with other data in the literature. Our previous measurements on Oplus;C2H6Dgr;OHplus;C2H5and Oplus;D2rarr;ODplus;D have also been checked and do not require revision.
