The Percusndash;Yevick approximation is used in conjunction with a truncated Lennardhyphen;Jones 12ndash;6 potential to predict the radial distribution function and thermodynamic properties of fluid argon. It is shown that the calculated distribution functions are in good agreement with the experimental data of Mikolaj and Pings, and that the calculated thermodynamic data are close to the experimental values given by Levelt.
