Recently Mallinckrodt Veterinary launched their avian coccidiosis vaccine, Paracox, into the French market at a technical symposium on the product at Annecy. This article will reflect on the information and discussion that took place at this symposiumand in so doing will endeavour to give you an insight into this product and its potential. Dr Pierre Yvore, formerly of INRA, set the scene by providing a backcloth on coccidiosis and current methods of control. Even though various new anticoccidials have been developed in recent times, the disease of coccidiosis still remains a major problem.
