People power pays dividends in Brazil

Frange Paulista's hatchery near Sao Paulo in Brazil produces one million chicks a week for use in its own operation. They have managed to maximise productivity without compromising quality and they have also found a novel use for red light in the hatchery. To find out just what Frango Paulista have achieved and how they have done it, International Hatchery Practice recently visited their hatchery and met its manager. Currently the hatchery sources its eggs from seven company owned day old to death farms, of which five are in production at any one time.
