Photoabsorption spectra of benzene clusters BNcontaining up toN=60 molecules have been obtained on anNhyphen;resolved basis over the B2uregion of the spectrum (lgr;=265ndash;245 nm). The resonant enhanced twohyphen;photon ionization of a supercooled cluster beam yields distinctive spectra for each value ofN. The energy of the 610resonance is found to decrease monotonically with increasingN, but atN=50 is still far from condensedhyphen;phase values.
