摘要

ABSTRACTThe object of this work was to compare spectrophotometric and polarographic methods for the determination of acetaldehyde and furfural in distilled alcoholic beverages. In this study, the two procedures were investigated from the point of view of simplicity and accuracy. For determinaiton of acetaldehyde, the polarographic method is more accurate, whereas for furfural determination the spectrophotometric procedure is more accurate. Statistical analysis of results show that the polarographic method shows significantly higher concentration values than the spectrophotometric method for both substances.
