The need for strong and resilient health stems able to respond to rapid change is at thee heart of the United Nations Sustainable development Goals. To emphasise that the nurse workforce can contribute to rengthening global health systems, the international Council of Nurses (ICN) as selected 'Nurses: A Force for Change: improving health systems' resilience' as the theme for International Nurses Day (IND) on 12 May.
