Influence of flow on chemical reaction rates

The influence of convective flow on diffusionhyphen;controlled steadyhyphen;state reaction rates in chemically reactive mixtures is studied for a number of different model systems. Two different flow types are considered: flow in a frictional medium and constant flow in a medium containing many reactive centers. The significance of the results for the combustion of fuel sprays is discussed.
