AbstractThe13C NMR spectra of two unsubstituted and twelve methyl‐substituted norbornylp‐nitrobenzoates (1–14) were measured and unambiguously assigned. The substituent effects were found to be similar to those observed in the corresponding alcohols, but the magnitudes varied. The γ‐effect is more complicated than solely spatially
