SiH: Lgr; doubling and lsquo;lsquo;core polarizationrsquo;rsquo;

摘要

Abinitiocomputation of the Lgr;hyphen;doublet splitting in the lowest rotational level of SiH (Xthinsp;2Pgr;) predicts a radioastronomical frequency of 3000 MHz which may be compared with the most recent terrestrial spectroscopic value of 2968 MHz. In this calculation no adjustment has been made for the effects of rsquo;rsquo;core polarizationrsquo;rsquo; which can be handled satisfactorily providing a wave function of high accuracy is employed.
