Koch USA Inc., a subsidiary of Koch Transporttechnik of Wadgassen, Germany has completed a new 3200 t/h shiploader at the Port of Lake Charles Bulk Terminal #1 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The design and fabrication was done by Koch Germany and the erection project management was handled by Koch USA from Seattle, Washington. Koch's major divisions include turnkey industrial plants, material handling and processing systems, enclosed conveying systems, specialized machinery fabrication, and industrial automation and control systems.The material handling division provides large material handling machines such as stackers, reclaimers, and stacker/reclaimer combination units as well as shiploaders and complete custom designed conveying systems, chain conveyors, and pipe conveyors.
