摘要

Egypt's energy use has been increasing rapidly as a result of economic growth in the last decade. However, Egypt has a large portion of its population living in rural areas where access to energy is still a challenge. The energy sector is key to Egypt's economic development and poverty reduction goals. In this study, we analyze the current and future power generation situation of the country. This paper represents support sustainable livelihoods for rural communities. The paper refers to different types of renewable energy as sustainable solutions for rural populations with no access to centralized power. The focus is on solar electricity and its economic applications for home electrification and the Paper aims to Compare between electricity cost (kWh) using PV panels, diesel generator and the result shows the cost of 1 kWh from the PV system is less than diesel system for rural residential electricity are 0.5 and 0.6 respectively.
