摘要

The paper introduces a new method for the classification of the various power quality events using kalman filter and fuzzy expert system. The method first simulates the various classes of disturbances using Matlab simulink on the test system and then extracts their input features through kalman filter. The extracted features namely amplitude and slope are applied as inputs to the fuzzy expert system that uses some rules on these inputs to classify the PQ events. Fuzzy classifier has been implemented and tested for various types of power quality events. The results clearly show that the proposed method has the ability to detect and classify PQ events. The performance of the proposed method has been evaluated by comparing the results against kalman filter based neural classifiers.
