The Paper introduces the Basic Concept of the Constant Bit Rate (CBR) Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Switching System. It further discuses Genetic Algorithm (GA) and its inherent Communication Control Properties. The Simulation platform; MATLAB and an attendant Kit for handling GA is then showcased. The paper investigates the effect of two basic GA initialization techniques on the switching systems. Test Results are shown. The paper finally presents a summary of these effects, as derived from an aggregation of results obtained from the discussions.
