Analysis of Dual Feed Asymmetric Antenna

摘要

A dual feed asymmetric antenna is designed and its analysis is presented in this paper. The antenna exhibits a dual band from 8.2 GHz to 8.6 GHz and from 10.5 GHz to 11.4 GHz covering X-band. The dual band nature is due to the different current paths excited in this structure. This antenna is having the dimension of 48 mm X 48 mm when placed on the substrate material of FR4 with dielectric constant of 4.4 and height of 1.6 mm. The antenna exhibits nearly Omni directional radiation characteristics and moderate gain in the entire operating bands. The uniplanar nature, simple feeding technique and compact structure make it easy for modular design.
