摘要

Binary mixtures cause Marangoni effect and Marangoni flow that help improve the flow and heat transfer characteristics of heat pipe. DI water-butanol mixture is reported to lower the thermal resistance compared to DI water. This effect is found pronounced at an optimal TPCT orientation of 45° from the horizontal. Three heat input rates (10W, 20W, and 30W), and four TPCT orientations (horizontal, 30°, 45°, and vertical) were employed for the experimental investigation.
