This paper describes the constructive methods of realization of kinematic capacities of a simple three-link PM (planetary mechanism) in seven gear modes (five forward and two reverse gears), as well as in a differential mode. The simple PM allows to create MSG (multi-step gearboxes) with low metal consumption.
