Education Opportunities Abound

Well, it's been another one of those busy months. In February, I took two of my key employees to the NARSA ed/tech in Stoney Creek, Ontario. First on our schedule was a tour of Arzon Manufacturing to see first-hand the manufacturing of tubes for radiators and other applications. The manufacturing of tubes is truly amazing; those of you who have never seen the high-tech equipment and the many steps the tubes are put through to assure our suppliers are getting the highest quality tubes available in the industry missed out on a great opportunity. The staff at Arzon truly knows the definition of quality. Next on the schedule was our reception party. There is nothing better than networking with other shop owners and venders. The networking is how shop owners lay out their strategies for the years to come. In an ever-changing industry, if you are one of those guys who thinks there is no value in this type of networking or that these gatherings are just for the big shops or the so called elite, you are partially correct; the men at these meetings and at these gatherings are the elite of our industry and you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that we all face the same issues and are all on common ground looking for ways to improve our company and the industry we work in. Please remember, we all put our pants on and light our torch the same way.
