摘要

Granules of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) were processed with bremsstrahlung X-rays from an electron accelerator. The ready polyethylene tubes were repeatedly irradiated by electrons using the same accelerator. The structure and thermo-mechanical properties of the material obtained by radiation processing were studied. Potentialities of electron irradiation and deceleration X-ray emission as applied to industrial production of cross-linked polyethylene are discussed.
