摘要

On the basis of an analysis of technologies for intensifying natural water source treatment with reagents, used in existing water treatment stations, a process of water concentrated coagulation was studied with the utilization of a high-gradient stirring and aeration enabling to reduce the consumption of aluminum sulfate (AS) used as a coagulant. Data on laboratory studies of the river water purification with the use of the proposed process are provided, and the most rational modes of mixing the coagulant and air with water to be treated are found to assure a high effect of removing impurities. The application of the process of concentrated coagulation with aeration and stirring in a vortex mixing device (VMD) at values of the rate gradient from 450 s~(-1) up to 630 s~(-1) enables to provide for a high quality of water purification after sedimentation and filtration as to turbidity, oxidizability, color and residual aluminum at reduced (to 25%) AS coagulant consumption compared to the use of a traditional coagulation process with a low-gradient mixing.
