摘要

The present paper is focused at developing the simulation code of biogas diesel dual fuel engine to study effect of carbondioxide on combustion and performance characteristics of the fuel. Study is also aimed at optimizing the substitution of CO_2 without affecting the performance of the engine. A suitable substitution of CO_2 will substantially reduce the effective working cost of an I.C. engine with the same output at different percentages of biogas and diesel and then based on the different percentages of CO_2 and methane along with varying quantity of diesel fuel, performance of the engine is carried out.
