The utilization of fly ash in concrete as partial replacement of cement is considered as an effective tool in the recent days keeping in mind the aspects of durability and ecological benefits. Fresh concrete properties are evaluated because they have a striking effect on the hardened state. Here studied the effects of fresh concrete with percentage replacement of cement by Fly ash. Fresh concrete properties were experimentally obtained. A comparative study was made with the obtained data and analysis was done to obtain the optimum percentage of replacement of cementious material. The effects of partial replacement of cement by fly ash, studies were made by replacing cement with various percentages of fly ash for different water-cement ratios. In this study replacements were made in 10%, 20% and 30% for M20, M25 and M30 grades. In this study, evaluation of workability properties namely slump, compaction factor and density were made and a comparative study between the control concrete mix and fly ash mix in the fresh state were made. From the experimental values, optimum percentages of replacement for different grades of concrete were obtained.
