Entering the New Millennium: Though the association was changing and shrinking, NARSA continued to serve its members with the same dedication

Upon entering the 21st century, NARSA was a smaller association than it had been in the past, but its members were still strong. The shops that had survived the transition to aluminum-plastic tank radiators continued to seek out niche markets to boost their bottom line. NARSA, for its part, continued to bring the latest in technical and regulatory information. In fact, in early 1998 the Automotive Cooling Journal ran an article reviewing what NARSA does, its strengths and weaknesses as well as its objectives through the year 2000. Included in plans for the future were: strengthening technical programs and services; promoting NARSA members to the public and educating consumers; establishing standards for radiator repair and service; identifying, recruiting, and training future leaders, consolidating the governance structure; and restructuring meetings to name juts a few.
