Schiff Base Complexes of Organotin(IV) Halides: Reaction of Diorganotin Dichlorides with Dibasic Tetradentate Schiff Bases

Ten new chelating complexes of the type R2SnL, where R represents methyl and phenyl groups and L is a dibasic tetradentate Schiff base, have been synthesized by the reaction of diorganotin dichloride and the Schiff bases in the presence of triethylamine. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses and spectral data.
