The latest dual station payoff system, from TEC, can be used to provide back-twisting to individual insulated wires prior to the double-twist process.Each reel is set up in a vertical cradle station, and both payoff bow assemblies rotate at a maximum speed of 1,250 rpm via individual ac inverter drive system. The payoffs are powered by a servo motor with tension control via an external pneumatic dancer assembly and slip rings, and the takeup cradle includes a precision rolling traverse assembly.
