Case Study of a Dome Silo with Symetrix Reclaiming System

Idaho Falls (ID), USA - Dome silos including feeding, discharging, and dust control Systems are effective and efficient bulk storage solutions. Several systems come together to make this a very effective storage solution. The objective of Domtec International is to make an application as economical as possible without cutting any of the quality and effectiveness for which the company is known. This presentation describes a dome designed to store 20 000 t of cement powder. This dome is loaded by a pneumatic feed to the top and has a mechanical reclaim system, which feeds a pneumatic pump under the dome. Both the feeding and load-out systems are controlled with dust collectors, effectively preserving air quality.
