摘要

Transition dipole moments between five lowhyphen;lying adiabatic states of CO,Xthinsp;1Sgr;+,Athinsp;1Pgr;, 2thinsp;1Sgr;+(Bthinsp;1Sgr;+andDrsquo;thinsp;1Sgr;+), 3thinsp;1Sgr;+(Cthinsp;1Sgr;+andCrsquo;thinsp;1Sgr;+) and 2thinsp;1Pgr; (Ethinsp;1Pgr;), have been obtained.Abinitiocalculations of the electronic energies and wave functions for these states have been reported by us previously. The calculated oscillator strengths and radiative lifetimes are compared with various measurements of these quantities. These comparisons are complicated by the large discrepancies among the experimental measurements, apparent even in the most recent studies.
