Dr. Eddy Cated's class on People in Finishing in the Good Days and Bad Days in the Finishing Shop was introduced to Mr. Chris Jurey, Vice President of Luke Engineering and Manufacturing of Wadsworth, Ohio. The subject was hard anodizing of large parts. Dr. Eddy asked Mr. Jurey, who prefers being called Chris, to give the class some background on hard anodizing of aluminum. Chris informed the class that the use of this engineering coating has grown dramatically since its 1950s commercial introduction into the aircraft market.
