Intermolecular interactions and Fermi resonance in methylene groups

Raman spectra of propanehyphen;d6and propane d6in CCl4solutions are reported. The spectra exhibit Fermi resonance. Raman spectra of dibromethane and dichloromethane are also reported, these present no Fermi resonance. The intermolecular interactions and conformational dynamics are discussed. (AIP)
