Considering the care bill

Care and support, according to HM Government (2012), is something that everyone in this country will experience and be part of at some point in their life. Care and support systems in England are facing the most comprehensive overhaul since 1948, with the Government intending to make it clearer and fairer for all. The new system centres on people's wellbeing and supporting people to live independently for as long as they possibly can. Nursing staff have a clear and critical role in health and social care, as they often practise on the interface of the two care systems and are the lynchpin in the patient journey. The Care Bill should be of great interest to them.
