Interpreting pulsedhyphen;gradient spinndash;echo diffusion experiments with permeable membranes

We have developed an approximate expression for the spinndash;echo attenuation as function of the diffusion time in a pulsedhyphen;gradient experiment on specimens containing regularly spaced barriers of arbitrary permeability. The expression is a modification of the exact solution for impermeable barriers, and is simple enough to permit use in curvehyphen;fitting programs.
