BMW Z4 sDrive 28i: The beginning of the end for BMW's normally aspirated straight six

bMW SAYS ITS MIDDLE NAME translates to "Motor" but it really should be "straight six." That has long been the Bavarians' trademark engine, even as they've also turned out brilliant V-8s, V-10s, and V-12s. What BMW has never done is produce a genuinely good mass-market four-cylinder for the United States (and for more than a decade it hasn't even tried). That's about to change, as a new turbocharged four-cylinder, code-named N20, is replacing the normally aspirated straight six in the Z4.
