Data for Sithinsp;i, Ali, and Cathinsp;iare used to determine parametric representations of eigenquantum defect theory which reproduce level energies and transition oscillator strengths to the order of the average experimental uncertainty. The results of these calculations demonstrate an insensitivity to the placement of energy dependence within the parameter sets of coupled channel models. Thus, while energy dependence is essential to precise representation of the level structures of coupled, closed channels, a unique determination of where energy dependence resides isnot(1) necessary for quantitative correlation of experimental observables and (2) possible from existing closedhyphen;channel data.
