A personal device used to manage a traveler's daily surface mobility needs, the Mobility Network Manager will help users plan all aspects of a trip. This illustration details how a long, cross-city trip might be booked. First, users are presented with a variety of small, local vehicles that are currently available in their neighborhood. The Manager is used to commission one of these vehicles for travel to a central hub, where a highspeed car has been reserved. A mile or so from the destination is another hub, where there will be a switch back to a microvehicle for the final portion of the journey. The user's monthly billing information is displayed in the upper right corner. (Note that the cost for a larger or smaller vehicle varies greatly based on future taxes on vehicle size.) A usage history is displayed in the upper left corner, showing the wide range of vehicles this user has secured over the past week. Lastly, the Going-My-Way feature links commuters with similar travel plans - making everyone a digital hitchhiker.
