Asiatic Black Bear Expert Team (ABBET) Report

摘要

Asiatic black bears range across 18 countries, 16 of which are represented on the ABBET (Nepal and N. Korea are missing). Recent known changes in distribution include range expansion in Japan and decline in Vietnam. Largest numbers of Asiatic Black Bears occur in China and Japan.Main human-caused mortalities arefrom poaching for parts and retaliatory killing for damage to crops.
