Time Lag in the Nucleation of Supercooled Water Clouds by Silver Iodide Smokes

A mechanism is proposed by means of which the time lag in phase transitions initiated by foreign bodies may be calculated. Calculations are performed for silver iodide nucleating supercooled water clouds, and the results are compared with experimental data.
