Information metering can be defined as a process by which data access is measured and recorded in a usage file, oftware, used to measure customer usage of an electronic file, provides valuable information on exactly what l customers are using. This capability has implications for electronic publishers and aggregators as well as for sctronic information. Issues of privacy are also important to consider.
