The turbo-diesel V-6 that Mercedes-Benz introduced in the E-class in the fall of 2006 spreads to all fifty states and most of the company's SUVs for 2009. The output and fuel economy of Mercedes-Benz's Bluetec engine is virtually the same as that of the 3.0-liter engine in the outgoing CDI die-sels: 18/24 mPg in the ML{sub}320 and the R{sub}320, 17/23 mpg in the GL{sub}320.
