Vibrational relaxation in the first excited singlet state of rhodamine in solution

Using a method which we had previously developed, we have studied vibrational relaxation in the first excited singlet state of rhodamine molecules in solution. After having recalled the principle of the method, we present the results we have obtained by varying parameters such as molecular structure, solvent viscosity, temperature ... and we discuss a few conclusions which can be drawn from this study about the interpretation of the relaxation process.
