Traveling wave oscillations of a cw dye laser

摘要

A stable continuous output, modulated with thec/Lfrequency of the cavity round trip, has been generated by means of an Ar+hyphen;ion laser pumped dye ring laser operating in a traveling wave configuration. The train of selfhyphen;excited pulses of nanosecond duration can be tuned over the whole spectral range of rhodamine 6G with an average power up to 100 mW, coupled out by means of a prism outcoupler of adjustable transmission by frustrated total internal reflection.
