摘要

The reactions of aluminiumisopropoxide with ethyl-1-hydroxycyclohexylacetate (HOC6H10.R), ethyl-2-hydroxy-2-aryl propionate (HOCHPh.R) and ethyl-2-hydroxy-2-aryl butyrate (HOCMePh.R), where (R=CH2CO2Et), have been studied in dry benzene in different molar ratios under strictly anhydrous conditions. Products of the general composition Al(OPri)3-nLn, where L = hydroxy ester anion and n = 1–3, have been isolated and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, molecular weight, infrared and1H n.m.r. spectral data.
