We’ve written about the challenges forU.S. welded producers buying U.S. hot rolledsteel several times recently but here’s anotherexample in this welded-heavy sector. Koreanline pipe imports in July totaled about 51,000tons (40 of the total) at a price of about$554/ton. Basic U.S. hot rolled coil, accordingto the Steelbenchmarker on September 14th,was $577/ton before API extras.
