摘要

The reaction of Me N#xB7;BH2I with Li+1,2-B10C2H11-and Li+1,7-B10C2H11leads to the isomeric trimethylamine carbor-anylboranes, 1-Me3N#xB7;BH2-1, 2-B10C2H11and 1-Me N#xB7;BH2-1,7-B10C2H11, respectively, which are surprisingly resistant to degradation by acid or base with the exception of piperidine; substitution at the remaining polyhedral carbon atom site can be effected after formation of the lithium reagent.
