This paper describes the dynamic simulation of flap drive system using EASY5, Dynamic Simulation Software developed by The Boeing Company. In the development of flap drive system, it is important to consider the relief of shock generated at start or stop of system drive and the optimization of control threshold for the accurate control. In order to analyze the dynamic behavior of flap drive system and enhance the precision of design in step of development, we have performed the simulations using EASY5. Thus, we have obtained useful findings regarding the behavior of valves and the variation of flow in the hydraulic system, the behavior of flap panel, and so on. These theoretical results of simulation are now being compared with the results of our experiments of prototype model. Our future plan is to enhance the precision of simulation further and include the results of simulation in the production design.
