International rules for hydro plant automation updated

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), has updated its guidance for the computer-based automation in hydroelectric plants. The standard IEEE 1249 Ed.2.0 has been jointly co-authored with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) who publish it as IEC 62270 Ed.2.0 (2013-09); it has replaced an identically number standard dating from 2004.
