Integrating NEPA's Concept of Adaptive Management with an ISO 14000-Consistent EMS

To promote a more effective planning process under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA),the President's Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) is promoting a paradigm referred to as adaptive management (AM). The intent of adaptive management is to facilitate mid-course corrections in agency actions based on the findings of environmental monitoring.
