Variation in peripheral progesterone levels during the day at different stages of gestation in sheep

The concentration of progesterone found in peripheral blood of sheep did not show a significant diurnal pattern at either 37, 82/83, or 130 days of pregnancy. There was a greater variation between samples taken at half-hour intervals when the levels were higher.
